……. ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ on the roads in Devizes!

Rotary President Alan Martin has had the pleasure of welcoming new Rotarian, Paul Dyer to Devizes Rotary.

Paul, who was proposed by Geoff Collins, has been a regular attender for some time at Devizes Rotary meetings, and has already shown an interest in Rotary’s community work.

Living and working in Devizes, Paul can be often seen driving one of his ‘Miss Daisy’ vehicles, each of which is specially fitted out to accommodate less able passengers. Paul has the local contract for the ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ franchise which he operates, if necessary, for seven days a week which takes its name from the award willing film of the same name.

The ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ team provide companion driving services for the elderly, children and the disabled, helping them to regain their independence by getting out and about to enjoy everyday living. Paul and his team will help with shopping, getting to appointments or simply accompany their clients on outings.

President Alan said that Paul is a very welcome addition to the Devizes Rotary team.
