Rotary Young Chef 2017 District 1200 Final

The Final of the Rotary Young Chef District 1200 Competition took place a couple of weeks or so ago, with the Devizes Area being represented by Elizabeth Woodward from Lavington School.

Although Elizabeth wasn’t chosen to go through to the Regional Final, she once again cooked brilliantly, and did herself, her family and the Devizes Area proud, so well done Elizabeth!

Below are some ‘photos from the event.

Best wishes

Devizes Area Final of Rotary Young Chef 2016-17

Having experienced two fantastic heats last month, everyone was very much looking forward to the final of the Devizes Area Young Chef 2016-17 Competition which was held last Monday (7th November) at The Farm Cookery School near Bromham. The contestants that had made it through from the heats were Beth Bogert, Bella Paxton, Elizabeth Woodward and Jocasta Wellard.

img_2751Once again it was an incredibly close run thing, but in the end the winner was …

Beth Bogert

with Elizabeth Woodward coming a very close second – in fact there was only one point in it! So, many congratulations to Beth, and good luck to her in the District Finals which will be held between January and mid-February.

Finally, thanks once again to everyone involved for making the competition a great success, including the contestants, their supporters, Gretchen (owner of the cookery school), the judges and members of the Rotary Club of Devizes who organised the competition.

Photos from the event are shown below.

Enjoy!

Six budding young chefs attended the first heat of the Devizes Area Rotary Young Chef Competition 2016-17 last Friday evening at The Farm Cookery School near Bromham. It was a fantastic evening with all the contestants astonishing the three judges with their culinary skills.

Congratulations also to the judges who did a terrific job under very difficult circumstances given the quality of all the entrants, and finally thanks to the parents who provided all the support and encouragement needed to help develop some great Young Chefs!
