Skittles Match vs Westbury

Last Thursday evening the Devizes Rotary Club hosted the first match of the District 1200 knock-out cup against Westbury at the Crown and … we got knocked out!

It was pretty even throughout and in fact there were only 2 points in it going into the final leg, but that increased to 8 points in the end so Westbury ended up worthy winners.  However the good news for Devizes is that because we went out in the first round we will be entered into the plate competition, so we live to fight another day .. 🙂

Best wishes

Cliff

Skittles Match with Rotary Club of Trowbridge Wessex Mead

On 8th March we played the skittles team from the Trowbridge Wessex Mead Rotary Club at the Crown in Devizes. Although we lost the match, a great time was had by all.

Thanks to Ann from the TWM club for supplying most of the following ‘photos – for some reason the ones I took on my ‘phone were pretty blurred!

Skittles Match vs Frome

Last month the Devizes Rotary Club Skittles Team played against Frome Rotary Club at The Cross Keys in Rowde.

Congratulations to Frome who came out on top … even against such outstanding opposition as Devizes Rotary Club!

Devizes vs Chippenham Skittles Match

Both Lynne and I needed a bit of coaching from Bill in the skittles match against Chippenham on Tuesday evening at the Cross Keys in Rowde, but it seemed to do the trick, and, combined with some excellent work by the rest of the team we managed to come out on top against a spirted Chippenham team.

Well done to all!
